Final Fantasy 16 Bomb King Location

To unlock the Bomb King on the hunt board, you must first start the main quest “Weird Science.” This will become available after completing the “Quitting Steam III” portion of the “Out of the Shadows” main quest.

Once you’ve checked the hunt board after starting ‘Weird Science’, Bomb King is located at The Crock in Sanbreque, which is east of The Dragon’s Aery and north of The Imperial Chase. Fast travel to the Dragon Aery Obelisk and head south to find the fastest route to the Bomb King.

Tips on how to beat Bomb King in Final Fantasy 16

The Bomb King is a level 33 B-rank Notorious Mark that attacks primarily with projectiles. Additionally, it is one of the few Hunt targets that does not have a scroll bar.

To get the upper hand in battle, here are some tips on how to beat the Bomb King in Final Fantasy 16:

  • Stagger abilities are useless: Since the Bomb King has no stagger bar, there is no point in equipping stagger abilities such as Aerial Blast or Garuda’s Gouge. Instead, he puts all of his skill points into his high-damage skills, such as those belonging to Titan, Phoenix, or Ifrit.
  • Activate Clive’s Limit Break and then unleash abilities. This means you’re dealing even more damage with Clive’s most powerful abilities. Start with the best, as the Limit Break gauge continues to go down even when you’re in the skill animation, so you don’t have much time.
  • Equip the Berserker Ring for additional damage: The Berserker Ring gives Clive a small window of increased damage after performing a Precision Dodge, which is useful during the fight with Bomb King since you will be dodging his projectiles a lot.

  • Use Will-o’-the-Wykes if you need more protection – this fire ability creates a shield for Clive while damaging enemies and is useful for some protection against the Bomb King’s projectiles.
  • Remember that you can equip skills on other Eikons. If you like more than two of an Eikon’s abilities, you can equip them on another Eikon as long as you master the ability, so remember…
  • Respect Is Free – You can refund any of your skill points for free and use those skill points to master another skill if you think it will help you the most in the fight against The Bomb King. We recommend removing Garuda’s abilities and replacing them with abilities that deal more damage.

The rewards for defeating The Bomb King are:

  • x1 Bomb Ember
  • x1 Meteorite
  • 1,000 EXP
  • 65 skill points
  • 20 renown
  • 9,000 gil

Once you kill the Bomb King, return to Owain at the Hideout, who will use it to create a Treated Potion Satchel that increases the size of your potion inventory.

Good luck taking on the Bomb King in Final Fantasy 16!
