Earth Day 2023: According to the UN, “The planet is losing around 4.7 million hectares of forest each year, an area larger than Denmark. When the ecosystem is healthy, it helps protect us from diseases. It is estimated that around one million animal and plant species are now threatened with extinction.”
This year’s theme to celebrate Earth Day is “Investing in our planet.” According to Earthday.org, the theme highlights that it is time to have the unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families and our livelihoods. That is, together we must invest in our planet. As they say, a green future is a prosperous future.
Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 to draw attention to the urgency of the climate crisis and environmental degradation and the need for immediate action.

Every day is Earth Day,

We should take action every day.
