The international break is over and all the major men’s leagues are back in action, which has given us plenty to reflect on when making our EA Sports FC 24 TOTW 6 predictions. In the Premier League there were some high-profile matches, including derbies London between Arsenal and Chelsea, and Tottenham and Fulham. But Mohamed Salah was the standout hero of the derby day after the Egyptian striker scored two late goals to ensure Liverpool beat bitter rivals Everton at Anfield.
Salah is one of the possible options for this week’s TOTW featured card, along with Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian has scored plenty of goals for Unai Emery’s side so far this season, despite being a defensive midfielder, and could be rewarded with a Team of the Week card after scoring twice against West Ham. Another player who could be in line for an upgrade is Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who also scored a brace at the weekend.
There are several players who could also be in the shortlist for Team of the Week, with some players standing out in the WSL. Tottenham forward Martha Thomas scored a hat-trick in her team’s 4-2 victory over Aston Villa, while Manchester United forward Nikita Parris and Chelsea defender Sjoeke Nüsken scored twice and provided an assist.
