Resonant Splinter is a newly introduced public event in the Throne World destination in Destiny 2.
As with other public events, it takes place in the Fluorescent Channel region and there is a hidden heroic version of Resonant Splinter that you can unlock if you perform the correct actions.
You’ll want to act quickly to activate it, as parts of the event and its heroic variant are timed. Powerful enemies are also waiting for you, so you need to level up first if you are not strong enough.

How to complete Resonant Splinter in Destiny 2
The Resonant Splinter event appears in the Fluorescent Channel sector and appears to repeat approximately every three hours. Place a waypoint marker on the event icon to make it easier to find, and then head towards it.
As always, there’s a rally sign near the starting location so you can replenish all your ammo before you start, which is helpful as you’ll need it.
Step 1: Steal the Resonant Splinter
This step just involves you approaching Splinter. Once at least one Guardian is standing on his platform, Splinter will begin to move.
Step 2: Transport the Resonant Splinter
This is a recurring step during the event. Your party must escort the Splinter to its final destination, fending off waves of Contempt as you go.
Some are harder variants, including Fanatics, although Splinter still moves except during the next step.
Step 3: Deliver the resonant splinter for detonation
At some points during the transport, Splinter stops, when an energy field and three Pyramid Spikes appear, along with much more Scorn. You must destroy the Pyramid Spikes as quickly as possible for Splinter to resume movement.
Pyramid Spike’s locations and Splinter’s route change with each run of the event, but mission markers point to Spike’s locations. They seem pretty resistant to gunfire, but Glaive’s melee attacks work well.
If you’re short on time and just want to finish the event, keep repeating these steps.

How to activate Heroic Resonant Splinter in Destiny 2
If you want the Throne World event to be heroic, keep an eye out for Resounding Charges, orange balls dropped by some enemies.
The goal is to grab a Resonant Charge and use it on Splinter, and you will need to use several Charges before reaching the final destination to activate the Heroic event.
The Heroic Event activates automatically once you’ve used enough Charges, but the new requirements don’t appear until Splinter reaches his resting place.
From there, the Heroic version has a new objective.
Step 1: Secure the resonant sliver
The goal of this step is to defeat the Scorn boss enemies that appear. They’re nothing different from the special Fanatic Scorn that appeared while transporting the Splinter, and you have about two minutes to complete the task.
Once this is done, you will be able to collect your rewards.
