How to start the Bastion quest in Destiny 2
There are two ways to start the Bastion quest. One is to complete the Saint-14 missions ‘Recover the Past’ and ‘An Impossible Task’; These will appear in sequence when talking to him in the Tower.
The other, which allowed players to unlock Bastion before the weekly reset on January 20, 2020, required you to speak to Osiris, who can be found in the Director’s Sundial, and complete the quest ‘Exploring the Corridors of Time’ .

But there is a route you can take to begin the quest for the Bastion, a route much longer than the rest, and one that took the community almost six days of collaboration to discover.

Once this is done, enjoy Saint-14’s dialogue, then visit Saint-14 again in the Tower to continue with the next part of the quest: Moment.
How to complete the Spoken Word Moment, Backroom Brawl, and Strong Arm steps in Destiny 2
Once you have visited Saint-14 and learned the Spoken Word portion of the Moment quest, you will need to kill five fallen captains or servitors within the Tangled Shore.
This is pretty simple: jump into Patrol and explore the area, including the Lost Sectors, until you have enough. It may be worth completing, but not delivering a few Spider Bounties at the same time, which is useful for a later step of the quest that we’ll delve into shortly.
Once this is done, it is time to complete Backroom Brawl, in which you must kill Aksiniks, Bound by Honor inside the Void Tank Lost Sector. This is the lost sector of Thieves’ Landing, and this enemy will appear in the last room behind you.

After that, A Strong Arm asks you to complete three steps: 10 Spider rewards, 30 challenging enemies, and 8 public events. This is all self-explanatory: the last two must be done on Tangled Shore, while the numerous Wanted Bounties can take you across the solar system.
Once this is done, there are two Momento steps left to complete.

How to Find Momento’s Tomb Location Within Rude Awakening and Defiled Reysk in Altered Chief
For Momento’s Rude Awakening quest step, you must visit a tomb inside Trapper’s Cave, the Lost Sector within Four-Horn Gulch.
To find the location of the tomb, head to the waterfall inside the Lost Sector and, at the base, investigate the side. It’s pretty dark down there and easy to miss, but here’s a video from niitq on YouTube showing the exact location:
The final step is to complete a special version of The Hallowed Lair attack and defeat Defiled Reysk, the Waning Light. You can find it on the Tangled Shore director’s screen (it’s called The Hallowed Lair, Momento) and, like other attacks in recent exotic missions, it’s paired.
Even with pairing, expect a fairly smooth ride. This is a normal version of the attack, but in the final boss room, Defiled Reysk, the Waning Light will appear to the side at a certain point in the fight. Lower it and the final step of the mission will appear.
