Night City map for Cyberpunk 2077 at a glance
Below you will find the general version of the Night City map, which you will explore in Cyberpunk 2077.
While this map doesn’t go into a lot of detail, it gives us an idea of where each district is located in Night City’s unique geography, including the main roads you’ll use to traverse the metropolis.

Districts and subdistricts in Cyberpunk 2077 explained
Night City and the surrounding terrain are divided into seven districts for you to explore in Cyberpunk 2077.
Six of these districts are located within Night City, while the seventh, known as The Badlands or Outskirts, is the arid landscape surrounding the city. The six districts you can explore within Night City are:
Each district has its own unique look, from the appearance of the buildings, the businesses that operate there and even the people you meet, and contains several sub-districts.
In Westbrook, for example, there are Charter Hill and North Oak, which are the residential areas of famous and not so famous. Japantown, described as the entertainment center of Night City, is also located in Westbrook and is the place to visit if your wallet is full.
It’s also important to remember that when exploring Night City, you’re not confined to the ground. Night City spirals upwards thanks to multiple levels of streets, hidden elevators, and skyscrapers, so to truly explore each district, always pay attention to what’s above you.
But don’t worry about getting too lost: each street has its own name, so you’ll soon have a mental map of Night City, and there are a variety of transportation options, including drivable vehicles, you can take.

The Badlands in Cyberpunk 2077 explained
The outskirts around Night City are known as the Badlands and while these lands can be dangerous, they are certainly worth exploring.
There’s the abandoned neighborhood of Rocky Ridge or one of the businesses that keep Night City alive, like the solar power plant or Blotechnica Farms, which produce synthetic proteins. Delicious.
Although arid, the Badlands are not deserted, as groups of nomads roam the area, supporting their own community separate from Night City. Nomad is one of the three Lifepaths you can choose at the start of Cyberpunk 2077 and choosing it will give you a deeper understanding of what this lifestyle is like.
There are always two gangs operating in the Badlands: the Wraiths and the Aldecaldos.
City center in Cyberpunk 2077 explained
Dominated by skyscrapers and megascreens, City Center is the heart of Night City in Cyberpunk 2077 and is home to two very different subdistricts.
Corporate Plaza is where the biggest deals are made in Night City, where profitable deals are negotiated and hapless companies go bankrupt. In this special place, corporations have the freedom to govern themselves without any outside interference.
Once you’re done with your business, it’s time to head downtown, to the… uh, downtown. In this subdistrict you’ll find some of Night City’s best restaurants and clubs, including the famous 7th Hell. Founded by a former mercenary, this club offers you the chance to become a famous outlaw for one night.
Heywood in Cyberpunk 2077 explained
South of the city center you will find Heywood, which is where Night City City Hall is located.
Here is also the Reconciliation Park, which, despite rumors, is not built on a radioactive landfill. After a nice walk through the park, it’s always a good idea to head to Vista del Ray, where you can enjoy one of Night City’s many markets.
You can also find the sub-districts of The Glen and Wellspring, which sit on the border between the city center and Heywood.
As for crime, Heywood belongs to the Valentinos, who often come into conflict with the Santo Domingo 6th Street gang.
Pacifica in Cyberpunk 2077 explained
To say that Pacifica, Night City’s former resort, has fallen on hard times would be an understatement. In Pacifica you can visit the Coast View and West Wind Estate subdistricts.
With one of the highest crime rates in the city (and in Night City that says a lot), the only things that really call the Pacific home are poverty and slowly crumbling buildings. There are some, however, who see Pacifica as a place of opportunity waiting to be seized.
Pacifica Markets, for example, are known for their wide variety of products, including weapons, clothing, and maybe even some cyberware. Still, if you want to reach this market, you need to survive the streets of Pacifica, which are often home to gang violence.
The Grand Imperial Mall has become the base of the Animals, a gang of extreme steroid users, and they are at war with the Voodoo Boys, who are the best network runners in Night City.
Santo Domingo in Cyberpunk 2077 explained
Divided into two main sub-districts, Santo Domingo is a district that is, for all intents and purposes, owned and managed by the corporations that make Night City their base.
In Arroyo you can explore a variety of factories and industrial complexes; some of which have been abandoned by their owners and now house a different type of business. Meanwhile, Rancho Coronado is where the factory workers make their home, of course with their employer’s permission.
This industrial district is also home to the 6th Street Gang, made up of veterans and supporters of “traditional” American values, who often clash with the Valentinos.
Watson in Cyberpunk 2077 explained
The northern district of Watson has risen to prosperity, only to fall, and now appears to be returning to being one of the most powerful districts in Night City. Considering an incredibly high crime rate, especially in terms of gang-related crimes, that’s an achievement.
Much of Watson’s design is inspired by both Japan and China, with the Little China subdistrict being the entertainment center of this part of Night City. There’s also Kabuki, a bazaar spread across multiple alleys and buildings, which is a great place to do some shopping or close a deal.
In the Northside Industrial District (NID for short) you will find a variety of different factories, but if you prefer to enjoy the sea views, you can visit the Arasaka Boardwalk.
Westbrook in Cyberpunk 2077 explained
Westbrook is one of the most prosperous districts in Night City. The North Oak subdistrict is where the rich and famous citizens make their home, while Charter Hill is where you’ll find those still trying to climb the ladder.
Westbrook isn’t just a residential district, it’s also where you’ll find Japantown, considered the best place for any form of entertainment in Night City. Here you can enjoy hostess clubs, love hotels, discos and much, much more. One club in particular, called Clouds, is known for being the place that can satisfy any desire.
Although Westbrook is considered to have a low crime rate, it is the home of the Tyger Claws gang.
