Best Titan order for Path of Legends in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Path of Legends is one of the three stories you’ll unlock during the opening chapter of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, The First Day of School.

Together with Arven, you will investigate the Titan Pokémon of the Paldea region and learn the secret of their power. You’ll also unlock some useful abilities for Koraidon and Miraidon.

While you’re free to fight any Titan you choose, there is the best Titan order in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which we outline below.

Best Titan Order: All Titans in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Listed

While Pokémon Scarlet and Violet allow you to take on the Titans in any order, there is a preferred path you can take throughout the story of Path of Legends based on the Titan’s hidden levels.

It’s important to note that one of the titans depends on the version, and you face the Great Tusk titan in scarlet and the Iron Treads titan in purple.

This is the path we recommend taking in the Path of Legends story:

  1. Klawf, the Titan of Stony Cliff – Recommended level 16 to 20
  2. Bombirdier, the open sky titan – Recommended level 19 to 24
  3. Orthworm, the lurking steel titan: recommended level 28 to 33
  4. The Titan of the Trembling Earth: Recommended level 44 to 50
  5. Dondozo, the False Titan Dragon – Recommended level 55 to 60
  6. Battle Arven

Remember: It’s a good idea to take the time to train your Pokémon while completing this story to ensure they don’t overpower you.

Our The Teal Mask walkthrough will help you complete the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, but make sure you know how to start it first. When visiting Kitakami it is a good idea to know how to get Sinistea, Dipplin and The Loyal Three. Our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough can take you through the main campaign, including The First Day of School, Victory Road, Starfall Street, Path of Legends, and, when you’re ready, The Way Home and the final boss. Elsewhere, we can help with the normal gym test secret item menu, version differences, the best scarlet and violet starter, XP farming, shiny Pokémon, and learning to fly, swim, climb, and run. When it comes to individual Pokémon, we can help with Gimmighoul, Ditto, Bellibolt, Pawmot, Scovillain, Frigibax, Brambleghast, Annihilape, Farigiraf, Dudunsparce, Lycanrock, Armarouge, and Ceruledge.

How the Path of Legends story works in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

To complete the Path of Legends story in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must find and defeat the five Titan Pokémon scattered throughout the Paldea region. After doing so, you will face Arven in battle for the second time, and after his defeat, this story will come to an end.

The open world nature of Scarlet and Violet means you can challenge the Titans in any order you want. It is important to note, however, that, although not shown on screen, each Titan has a level. This means it’s a good idea to train your Pokémon along with this story to ensure they don’t overpower you.

Finally, defeating the Titans will unlock a new traversal ability for Koraidon and Miradion. Each skill is tied to a specific Titan, so if there’s a skill you desperately want your legendary mount to have, you can jump to that Titan.

However, the only Titan you can’t do this with is Dondozo, the False Dragon Titan, because, to reach him, Koraidon/Miraidon needs to know how to swim. For this reason, you will first have to see Bombirdier, the Titian under the open sky.

We have a page dedicated to travel capabilities if you’d like to learn more!

Good luck defeating Paldea and Arven’s Titans, and once you’ve completed this story, be sure to explore Victory Road and Starfall Street!
