Location of the Karahatag Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Karahatag Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is located in the Gerudo Desert, in a point of interest called Southern Oasis. It is south of Gerudo City or east of the Lightning Temple. Be careful when heading to the shrine, as the Gerudo Desert is difficult to traverse and its climate is brutal. Fortunately, there are plenty of shady spots to cool off once you’ve reached the oasis.

We have marked its exact location on the map below and the coordinates of the Karahatag Shrine are (-3726, -3625, 0043).

Solution to the Karahatag Shrine puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

As we said earlier, Karahatag Shrine mainly requires you to use Ultrahand and Recall. Head to the Shrine and you will see a lit pyre, with a torch next to it. Light the torch and then throw it at the pyre on the roof next to the locked door ahead. It will open.

Now, go up the ladder in front of you. You will be in a large room with a switch. Standing on the switch lowers the platform in front of you, but also reveals three pyres that need to be lit. You can see a lit pyre near the exit to this area. Head towards it and then look back to where you came from. Below is a chest.

Crawl up to the chest and open it to receive a Mighty Build Bow. You can now use Ascend to return to the main platform.

Walk over to the lit pyre and use Ultrahand to pick it up. Now, you must lift it up to each of the three columns ahead. Go one by one, aiming for where the unlit pyres will come out once the switch is pressed. Leave the pyre lit and walk towards the switch. Stand on it and use Recover on the lit pyre. This will reverse its movement, lighting each pyre, one by one. You can see its route in the image below.

If you’re having trouble, take each pyre one at a time. They remain on even after being retracted. Once all three are lit, the exit will open. Continue to collect Blessing Lights which you can spend on the Goddess Statues to increase your hearts and stamina.
