Where to find Thunder Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Thunder Stones can be used to evolve certain Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Pikachu and Eevee, for example.

For some Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, using a Thunder Stone is the only way to evolve them, as simply raising their level won’t be enough.

Here’s where to find Thunder Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including buying them from a store and getting them for free while you explore.

Where to get Thunder Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

There are two ways to get Thunder Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The first is to purchase them at Delibird Presents stores. These are found in the main cities, such as Levincia, Mesagoza and Cascarrafa. Delibird Presents stores can be seen on the map, marked with a shopping bag symbol. You can see what these stores look like in the image below:

Visit Delibird Presents stores to purchase Thunder Stones.

The option to purchase Thunder Stones in Delibird Presents is not unlocked until you have three Gym Badges. This is likely tied to progression and can also be unlocked through other main quests. However, we haven’t confirmed this, so if Thunder Stones are not for sale in your game, beat three gyms. You can then purchase Thunder Stones for 3,000 Pokédollars.

If you prefer not to pay for your Thunder Stones, head to the Western Province (Area One) on the map.

You’re looking at a set of windmills, some of which have stairs. One has a Thunder Stone right on top. Simply go up the stairs and take the item.

A Thunder Stone can also be found in the city of Levincia. This is where you’ll find the Electric Gym, so everything has clues! Head to the dock area that juts out to the east of the city. You can find a red Poké Ball article here.
