Fortbyte 74 is located inside the killer’s house on the desert coast; this refers to the southeast corner of the map, specifically east of Paradise Palms.
The house is more of a complex than the houses you see in named places on the map, so it’s hard to miss. As the description says, it is on the desert coast.
Enter the murderer’s house and head to the northernmost door leading off the main hallway.
This will take you to a basement area where hitting the ground with a pickaxe will reveal several chests.
It’s up to you whether you do – we’re here to find the file cabinet. This is directly next to the hole in the floor and the desk to the right. Destroy it and Fortbyte 74 will be revealed, which is located in a filing cabinet inside an assassin’s basement on the desert coast.
What else do you need to know about the assassin’s basement on the desert coast in Fortnite?
Once you’ve found Fortbyte 74, there are no other requirements, such as having a specific emote or the map being at a certain time of day like other Fortbyte locations; Just pick it up and continue your game.
Also, if you didn’t know, the assassin’s basement refers to John Wick’s house. This was added to the game at the beginning of the current season, teasing the John Wick event that followed shortly after.
