If you were looking for a new sniper rifle, the Swiss K31 is an intriguing and old-school option. This is a bolt-action sniper rifle, so people already familiar with similar sniper rifles and snipers will feel right at home.
The rate of fire is faster than other heavyweights like the 20mm ZRG, for example, which is offset by less impressive damage when aiming overhead.

How to unlock the Swiss K31 in Warzone
Arriving on April 22, 2021, the Swiss K31 first debuted in Warzone at the start of Season 3. It used to be necessary to reach Battle Pass Tier 31 to unlock the weapon. But this changed with the arrival of season 4.
Now, to unlock the Swiss K31 in Warzone, you must obtain 2 headshots in 15 different completed matches using any sniper rifle.
This is a super easy challenge. Headshots are your bread and butter when using snipers, so you probably won’t even have to worry about them too much in games. You can go in, get the kills you need, and then switch to another setup if you want.
However, doing this in 15 matches takes a bit of time. Unless you’ve already booked a weekend to play multiple marathon matches, we recommend accepting Team Deathmatch playlists and shorter modes like Nuketown 24/7 to complete the challenge as quickly as possible .
As usual, if you go for Warzone, we can’t recommend Plunder mode enough – that way you can revive yourself during the match in case you’re suddenly downed by an enemy player.
Once you have completed the challenge, the game will inform you about your new weapon on the post-match rewards page. From there, head to the equipment tab and equip the weapon in the main slot.
The best Warzone Swiss K31 equipment and accessories
The Swiss K31 is a refreshing addition to the weapons roster, but it’s important to keep in mind both its advantages and limitations. It has low recoil and high accuracy, but aspects such as aiming down speed and idle roll control are a top priority in terms of equipment planning.
Below are our recommendations for optimal Swiss K31 charging, as well as the corresponding levels for each:
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor (unlocked at level 46)
- Barrel: 24.9″ Combat Recon (unlocks at level 30)
- Laser: 5mw SWAT laser sight (unlocked at level 31)
- Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip (unlocks at level 33)
- Back Grab: Snake Grab (unlocks at level 44)
While we previously opted for the sound moderator, we’re back on track with the GRU suppressor. It comes with an increase in vertical recoil control, both bullet speed and damage range, and the addition of sound suppression. As a result, the speed and stability of your down sight will be slightly affected, but only slightly, so there is nothing to worry about.
The 24.9” Combat Recon gun is a vital inclusion in this build. Your idle roll control will decrease, but adding bullet speed is a must to further strengthen the muzzle. Additionally, the first balance updates of Season 4 improved this accessory, increasing the bullet speed gain from 43% to 50%.
Yes, we know adding a laser to a sniper rifle sounds a little ridiculous, but it’s actually beneficial here. Opting for the 5mw SWAT laser sight will exponentially improve your aim down time, with only a slight decrease in walking movement speed.
We used to recommend an optic instead of a lower barrel, but since the Swiss K31’s default sight was fixed, you can now use this slot for the Bruiser Grip. This will improve both movement speed and aiming stability.
Lastly, the Serpent Grip is perfect for increasing your aim down time even further. You’ll lose a little sprint time to shoot, but it’s nothing compared to the balance it provides to the loadout as a whole. As a result, the Swiss K31 will now be faster than ever.

Best Warzone Swiss K31 Class Build, Perks, and Loadouts
Here are our picks for the best items, like loadouts and perks, to create the best Swiss K31 class build in Warzone:
- Perk 1: Cold Blood (unlocks at level 29)
- Perk 2: Overkill (unlocks at level 38)
- Perk 3: Tracker (unlocks at level 51)
- Secondary: FARA 83 (unlocked by completing a challenge where you have to kill two headshots in 15 different matches using assault rifles)

Since you’ll primarily be using the sniper rifle in Warzone, whether to cover a teammate or simply while defending your spot before the circle closes again, Cold-Blooded is a must. This will allow you to go unnoticed by the AI targeting system as well as the enemies’ thermal optics.
As usual, we recommend going for Overkill as your second buff. This time we opted for the FARA 83. It’s a versatile assault rifle that should cover everything from short to long range, and it pairs very well with the build speed of this sniper.

Lastly, the heartbeat sensor is a great companion for the third perk, allowing you to keep an eye on enemies you haven’t encountered yet. But in case someone manages to sneak near you, having a Claymore placed near you should help.
