How to unlock the combat shotgun in Warzone
The task of getting the Combat Shotgun is super easy since it does not involve any challenge or much time to gain levels.
To unlock the combat shotgun, you need to reach player level 14, which can be done easily and without too much effort.
For this, we recommend any multiplayer mode, from Team Deathmatch playlists to Zombies, it’s up to you. As always, if you have XP boosts, be sure to use them to get the most out of each match.
The best Warzone combat shotgun gear and accessories
Below are our recommendations for an optimal combat shotgun loadout, as well as the corresponding levels for each:
- Muzzle: M97 Full Choke (unlocked at level 3)
- Barrel: Sawn (unlocked at level 50)
- Optics: Slate Reflector (unlocked at level 8)
- Stock: CGC Cable 2M (unlocks at level 32)
- Underbarrel: SMLE pistol grip (unlocks at level 49)
- Magazine: 16, 10 gauge round drums (unlocked at level 53)

Let’s start with the snout. We opted for the M97 Full Choke, which adds +1 for tighter shot distribution.
As for the barrel, we opted for the Cut-Off option, which adds greater pellet spread, movement speed, and damage. For the downsides, point down, only recoil control and accuracy are affected.
Optics is down to preference – we’ve found the Slate Reflector to be a complete option for this – but again, it’s up to you.
In the value space, we choose the CGC 2M cable. You’ll receive +2 sprint speed to shoot and +1 movement speed, with the low cost of -1 to initial accuracy and recoil as a disadvantage.
The SMLE pistol grip is a great option for the underbarrel groove. It comes with +2 sprint speed to fire, as well as +1 hipfire accuracy, although recoil control and accuracy are affected by -1 each in return.
For the magazine, we recommend equipping 10 round 16 gauge drums. This will give you a total of 10 rounds. It comes at the cost of -2 aim down speed, -2 reload speed, and -1 movement speed, recoil control, and accuracy, but it’s worth including.
Next, Buck and Slug is a great ammo type, as it adds +1 shotgun slug, although there is a reduction to aiming down sight speed and -4 buckshot.
As for the rear grip, we will gain +1 to ADS speed, sprint speed to shoot and hip fire recoil recovery thanks to the Fabric Grip. It costs -1 in accuracy, but we’ll accept it.
