Pokémon Scarlet and Violet release time in UK / GMT, CET, EST and PST

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is perhaps the biggest outing for a main entry yet.

Taking a cue from Arceus from earlier this year, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a cross between a traditional, main entry and open-world adventures, with three stories you can complete in any order you choose.

We said it was an “interesting rework… weakened by its lifeless environments and graphics” in our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet review, and you can play it as soon as Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s local release time allows.

When is Scarlet and Violet released? Pokémon Scarlet and Violet release time explained in UK/GMT, CET, EST and PST

The release date for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is Friday, November 18, and based on previous first-party Switch games, it will be available at midnight local time for those who purchase digitally from the eShop.

The exception is for those in North America, where if you are on the West Coast, it will be available when unlocked at midnight East Coast time; in other words, at 9 pm PST.

In summary, the release times for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are as follows for your region:

  • United Kingdom: 0:01 am (GMT)
  • Europe: 0:01 hours (CET)
  • US East Coast: 0:01 am (EST)
  • US West Coast: 8 pm, Thursday the 16th (PST)

This means that those in Europe will have to wait until midnight to start playing. Our recommendation, however, is to get a good night’s sleep first, so that you can start playing completely refreshed in the morning.

It should be added that the exception to the above is if you have a physical copy of the game, in which case you can start playing as soon as you have it in your hands. This could explain the various leaks circulating that Nintendo is struggling to contain. (Don’t worry, we won’t give anything away in our coverage of these first copies.)

Our The Teal Mask walkthrough will help you complete the first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, but make sure you know how to start it first. When visiting Kitakami it is a good idea to know how to get Sinistea, Dipplin and The Loyal Three. Our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet walkthrough can take you through the main campaign, including The First Day of School, Victory Road, Starfall Street, Path of Legends, and, when you’re ready, The Way Home and the final boss. Elsewhere, we can help with the normal gym test secret item menu, version differences, the best scarlet and violet starter, XP farming, shiny Pokémon, and learning to fly, swim, climb, and run. When it comes to individual Pokémon, we can help with Gimmighoul, Ditto, Bellibolt, Pawmot, Scovillain, Frigibax, Brambleghast, Annihilape, Farigiraf, Dudunsparce, Lycanrock, Armarouge, and Ceruledge.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet download size

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has a 7 GB storage requirement for those who download it digitally from the eShop.

Of course, it is possible to make changes as updates are introduced. Although nothing has been confirmed in terms of DLC, as with all games, there will inevitably be some small patches and tweaks after launch, so if you’re short on space, it’s best to have a little room to accommodate them when they arrive. .
