During this event, you will be able to complete the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Weather Investigation mission and a collection of event-exclusive field investigation tasks to earn a variety of rewards.

You can also battle Dialga in five-star raids throughout the event, and if you’re lucky, you might even be able to catch the shiny version of this legendary Pokémon!

  • Transfer 7 Pokémon – 7 Ultra Balls

Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

Field Research for Ultra Unlock Part 1: Temporary event in Pokémon Go explained

Throughout the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go, you will be able to collect a number of field research tasks exclusive to the event by spinning PokéStops or Gyms. These research tasks can be saved and completed after the event is over.

Here are the Ultra Unlock Field Research Tasks Part 1: Time:

  • Earn a candy reward by walking with your friend: 3 Ultra Balls
  • Reward for hatching an egg: Shieldon encounter
  • Spin 10 PokéStops or Reward Gyms: 10 PokéBalls

Everything you need to know about the Ultra Unlock event Part 1: Time in Pokémon Go

The Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go sees the return of Dialga to five-star raids, along with Pokémon like Porygon2 and Golurk in three-star raids. You’ll also be able to fight Unown U, Cranidos, Shieldon, Bronzor, and Klink in one-star raids throughout the event.

This event also sees the release of the brilliant forms of Dialga, Cranidos and Shieldon!

If you collect 7 km eggs during the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event, you will have the following group of eggs:

  • Omanite
  • kabuto
  • Aerodactyl
  • lileep
  • anorith
  • Cranids
  • Shield

Finally, like all events, certain Pokémon will appear more frequently during the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event. These Pokémon include:

  • voltorb
  • Porygon
  • Omanite
  • kabuto
  • baltoy
  • Beldum
  • Aron
  • lileep
  • anorith
  • Cranids
  • Shield

Omanyte, Kabuto, and Voltorb will appear more frequently in the wild during this event.

Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time, date and time in Pokémon Go explained

The Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event in Pokémon Go will take place from Friday, July 23 to Tuesday, August 3; starts at 10 am (local time) and ends at 8 pm (local time).

Since Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time is a timed research mission, it will no longer be available after the Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time event ends. This means that if you want to collect all possible rewards, you must complete Ultra Unlock Part 1: Time before the event ends.

The raid pool will also change once the event ends, so if you want to catch a Dialga, make sure you do it before Tuesday, August 3!
