Silent Schemes is the latest installment in the Team Go Rocket invasion story in Pokémon Go, which began in July 2019 with A Troubling Situation.
There’s been a hiatus in this questline (the last one we saw was in 2021), but you can expect the familiar challenge of trainer battles and capturing Shadow Pokémon before taking on the leaders and, eventually, Giovanni himself .
You will also be rewarded with experience and a variety of items for each quest step you complete.
Steps of the Silent Schemes mission in Pokémon Go
Below you will find the six quest steps, including individual challenges and rewards, for Silent Schemes in Pokémon Go.
Remember: You must have completed your previous Team Go Rocket research mission, which began with A Worrying Situation in 2019, to access this mission.

Silent schemes Step 1 of 6
- Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket grunts: 3 Hyper Potions.
- Catch 1 Shadow Pokémon – 1 Revive
- Win a Raid: Breloom Encounter
Rewards: 1000 XP, 15 Pokéballs, 3 rare candies
Silent schemes Step 2 of 6
- Catch 5 Shadow Pokémon – 10 Pinap Berries
- Make 3 good curveball pitches in a row: 10 Razz Berry
- Defeat 5 Team Go Rocket Grunts: 10 Nanab Berry.
Rewards: 1500 XP, 1000 Stardust, 10 Great Balls

- Purify 5 Shadow Pokémon – 1000 XP
- Defeat 5 Team Go Rocket soldiers: 1000 XP
- Earn 3 candies by walking with your friend – 1000 XP

How Silent Schemes works in Pokémon Go
Silenct Schemes, which appeared in March 2022 at the start of the All-Hands Rocket Retreat event and the debut of Salandit and Salazzle, is the latest in the Team Go Rocket questline.
To access this research mission, you must first complete the ‘tutorial’ mission, A Worrying Situation, and complete any previous Team Go Rocket missions you have already started, such as A Development Between Egg Stings and The Grim Threat Grows.
Don’t worry if you’re too far back in the Team Go Rocket lineup, because once you’ve completed your current Rocket mission, you’ll automatically jump to Silent Schemes.
Each Team Go Rocket mission is based on defeating the criminal organization’s grunts and purifying Shadow Pokémon, which can be found in invaded PokéStops around the world.
You will also have to fight the leaders Arlo, Cliff and Sierra and, eventually, Giovanni.
Aside from these specific tasks, Silent Schemes work exactly like other investigation missions, challenging you to complete a series of objectives in a specific order.
There is no time limit for Silent Schemes and after completing it, you will automatically begin the next Team Go Rocket research mission when it launches.

Be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, complete routes, use Daily Adventure Incense for a chance to encounter Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres. This incense can also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
