How the seventh anniversary party works in Pokémon Go
The Seventh Anniversary Party is a timed research mission that you can unlock in Pokémon Go by purchasing the ticket for said mission before Tuesday, July 11 at 8 pm (local time).
After purchasing the quest, you have until Wednesday, July 12 at 8pm (local time) to complete it and claim all its rewards. The quest will disappear forever, taking its rewards with it, if you miss this deadline.

Other than this deadline, the Seventh Anniversary Party works exactly like any other paid research mission in Pokémon Go; The mission step comes with a selection of challenges for you to complete, earning you rewards for each task and the step itself. You continue to do this until the quest is completely complete!

How to buy the Seventh Anniversary Party in Pokémon Go
If you want to play the 7th Anniversary Party Timed Research Mission in Pokémon, you must purchase a ticket before Tuesday, July 11 at 8 pm (local time).
A ticket for this research mission costs £1.99, $2 or the equivalent price in your local currency. While tickets are non-refundable and cannot be purchased with PokéCoins, they can be gifted to any player you have Great Friend or higher Friendship levels with.
You must visit the in-game store, accessed through the main menu of Pokémon Go, to purchase a ticket. Once in the store, you must find the banner announcing the mission.

Then select the banner to access more information about the mission and purchase options. You must now select “Buy” and follow the specific purchase instructions for your device.
After purchasing it, the 7th Anniversary Party will automatically appear in the “Today” tab like all timed research missions.
If you purchase this quest, you must complete it and claim all its rewards before Wednesday, July 12 at 8 pm (local time). Once this time passes, the quest will be gone forever.
