New Rs 75 Coin: On the occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament building, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a commemorative coin of Rs. 75 coins with a special postage stamp. The Finance Ministry, during the launch of the new commemorative coin, said: “The seventy-five rupees coin will be minted at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government on the occasion of the inauguration of the New Building of the Parliament. “In a way, this also celebrates the 75th year of India’s independence, which was widely celebrated under the banner of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

What is a commemorative coin?
A commemorative coin is a coin produced to commemorate a special occasion, event or issue. These coins usually have a unique design that reflects the occasion for which they were created. Despite being authorized currency, these coins are not produced for widespread use.
What are the features of the new 75 rupee coin?
According to the official statement from the Department of Economic Affairs, the coin would weigh between 34.65 and 35.35 grams.
