The Ancient Blade is back in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but this time it’s not a full weapon as such. It is rather a powerful material that can be added to melee weapons or arrows through Link’s Fuse ability. Although it’s up to you, we recommend adding the item to a melee weapon for a massive +50 stat boost. If you add it to an arrow, it can kill you with a single shot, but it will be a single use.
Weapons are an important part of surviving your time exploring Hyrule in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and the better your weapons, the easier it will be to take down big enemies like Gleeoks or those squads of Bokoblins that play follow-the-leader.

Highland Stable Well Ancient Blade location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Ancient Swords can be found in chests throughout Hyrule, but one of the easiest places to find one is in the Highland Stable Well in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, although some enemies can make it difficult to access.
The Highland Stable’s well is in Faron, next to the Highland Stable. We have marked their exact location and the location of the stables on the map below. The coordinates of Highland Stable Well are (0537 -3429 0047).

Drop down into the pit and break the wall blocked by rocks next to Fera.
Follow the path to a larger room in the well. Here you will find two Shock Like Likes and three Blue Bokoblins. You can choose to fight them or you can easily run around them by taking a Hasty Elixir.
Regardless of what you choose to do with the enemies here, you need to follow the path through the large room to the rear of the area. Then, you must reach a lowered area with a small puddle of water.
This chest has spawned slightly differently for some people, but we found the chest by dropping into the pool and looking through the pile of items against the far wall. In this chest is an ancient sword.
Ancient swords of the spiritual temple in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Thanks to Youtuber 100% Guides, we also learned that there are two ways to get Ancestral Swords in the Temple of Spirits in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Complete the temple – Ancient Blade for free
After completing the Temple of the Spirit, head back to the Temple and talk to the Mining Construction here. They will give you a free Ancient Sword the first time you talk to them.

After getting the free Ancient Sword from the Mining Construction in the Spirit Temple, you will be able to visit it as much as you want. You will have to give them 50 Zonaite for each Ancient Sword they give you, so we recommend using the swords obtained this way very carefully.
How to get Ancient Blade from Amiibo in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
If you’re a fan of Amiibo in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll be happy to know that there’s also a chance to obtain an Ancient Blade this way!
If you have the Archer Link Amiibo from Breath of the Wild, there’s a chance you’ll drop an Ancient Blade when you scan it. Scanning your amiibo repeatedly is a free, but time-consuming way to try and get one of these epic items. Ancient Blade is not 100% guaranteed to drop though, so you could end up with a bunch of other things instead.
