How to find raptors in Fortnite
Birds of Prey are found in the Fortnite jungle biome. This includes Shady Stilts, Creeky Compound, and Rumble Ruins. Birds of prey are found in the jungles around these areas. They roam freely and can be found in eggs. You can find eggs on the ground, as shown in the image below:
However, be careful when approaching a bird of prey, as it strikes with surprising force and its rapid speed makes escape difficult. Fortunately, like wild boars and wolves, you can tame birds of prey.
Be sure to listen carefully to the sounds around you when searching for a raptor. If there is one nearby, you will be able to hear a chirp and click that will indicate that at least one bird of prey is nearby. It’s like a softer version of the sounds the birds of prey make in the original Jurassic Park movie. You can also use the audio visualizer in settings, which will display a raptor on your HUD when one is nearby.
How to tame a raptor in Fortnite
If you want to tame a raptor in Fortnite, you will have to jump on its back. This is exactly the same as teaming up with boars and wolves, you’ll just need to time your jump correctly. If you manage to land on a raptor’s back, hearts will appear from it, indicating that you have successfully tamed it. Now you can ride it.
Compared to wolves or boars, raptors run faster, making them the ideal partner for traversing the island. It may take them a moment to follow you, but they will do so quickly and will also be able to swim through bodies of water.
The Raptors will also destroy any walls that get in their way and hunt down attacking players, which is quite entertaining to watch. You can jump on a raptor and a double jump will launch you off of it. This is ideal for reaching high ledges and treetops.
