Transferring GTA 5 saves from PS4 to PS5 or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S is the same process no matter which console you’re using. The steps below also allow you to transfer save data between console platforms, from PS4 to Xbox Series X/S, for example.
First, you must have a Rockstar Social Club account and have it linked to your PlayStation Network account or Xbox Network Gamertag. All of this can be easily done on the Rockstar Social Club website.
You must also have started the GTA 5 single-player story and completed the prologue.
Once you have created a Rockstar Social Club account, or if you have already done so, launch the game and open the main story mode menu.
Next, you need to navigate to the “Game” tab where you will find the “Load Saved Game” option. In this option you will find a list of all your GTA 5 save files and you can choose the one you want to load.
Select the saved file you want to upload and then wait for it to upload successfully; The time it takes depends on the size of the file.
