The Friendship Go Fest Challenge works like the other Skill Go Fest and Battle Go Fest challenges above, in that the Friendship Go Fest Challenge is a timed research mission, meaning you must complete it before it expires. The mission.

As the name suggests, it revolves around sending gifts to friends and interacting with your Pokémon friend, from winning hearts to winning candy to taking a snapshot.

If you successfully complete the Go Fest: Friendship Weekly Challenge before the deadline, you will be eligible to participate in the Go Fest Elite Friendship Challenge.

  • Send 5 gifts to friends: 10 pineapple berries
  • Heart 5 hearts with your friend – 10x Razz Berry
  • Earn a candy by walking with your friend: 1 rare candy

Rewards: 300 XP, 300x Stardust, encounter with Alolan Raichu

‘Go Fest Weekly Challenge: Friendship’ Step 3 of 3

  • Take a snapshot of your friend: 10x Pinap Berry
  • Send 10 gifts to friends: 5x Razz Berry
  • Earn 10 hearts with your friend – 1x Rare Candy

Rewards: 1 rare candy, 1 lucky egg, encounter with Petilil

Explanation of the unlock objectives for the ‘Go Fest Weekly Challenge: Friendship’ in Pokémon Go

When you complete the Go Fest Friendship Challenge, you will contribute to a global competition count.

The exact account you’re assigned to depends on which Pokémon Go team you’re currently on: Mystic, Instinct, or Valor.

When a minimum of one million trainers on a specific team complete their Go Fest Weekly Challenge: Friendship goal, a new Pokémon will be unlocked for Go Fest 2020.

Below you can find which Pokémon have been assigned to each and will be released if the million goal is reached:

  • One Million Team Mystic Trainers – Dratini
  • One Million Team Instinct Trainers – Togetic
  • One Million Team Valor Trainers – Litwick

Togetic, Dratini and Litwick will be added to Go Fest 2020 if goals are met.

Each weekly Go Fest challenge has its own set of unlockable objectives, meaning completing all three sets of challenges will help add even rarer Pokémon to Go Fest 2020.

Party Play, Pokémon Go’s multiplayer feature, is here, along with the Welcome Party quest. You can also work on the Timed Investigation: Master Ball mission and compete in Go Battle League. The Go Fest Weekly Challenge: Friendship is the third of three sets of Timed Research Challenges launching in the weeks leading up to Go Fest 2020.

The ‘Go Fest Weekly Challenge: Friendship’ will run from Friday, July 17 to Wednesday, July 22, starting at 8 am and ending at 10 pm local time.

If you complete the Go Fest Weekly Challenge: Friendship before 10pm on Wednesday, July 22, you’ll unlock access to the optional Elite Go Fest Friendship Challenge, which will also disappear when the rest of the challenges do.
