Picking up a keycard from an IO Guard is the second of the Week 8 legendary quests in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
Like many of the past weeks, the first mission in this set involves using one of the payphones scattered around the Fortnite map, so Slone can task you with finding an IO keycard.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 45k XP, which will help you unlock more Battle Stars for the Season 7 Battle Pass. You will also be able to begin the third Legendary Mission of Week 8: placing wiretaps in different key locations.
Please note that this particular challenge can no longer be completed. What’s new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection, and Eren Jaeger skin. It’s a good idea to know how to get XP quickly in Fortnite.

How to Collect an IO Keycard from an IO Guard in Fortnite
To collect a keycard from an IO Guard in Fortnite, you need to kill an IO Guard and the best place to do so is Corny Complex. Not just shoot them down, but kill them.
Corny Complex is a great place to find IO guards.
In this farm you can find several IO guards wandering around the house and inside the barn. Since this area is full of loot, you’ll easily be able to find a weapon and a shield potion before hunting down an IO Guard.
However, if you are having trouble finding said guard, then you should head to the IO bunker hidden beneath the farm, which is full of IO guards waiting to be killed.
You can enter the bunker using the barn stairs, but the sneakiest way is to use the port-a-potty located in the house to teleport to the bunker. The room you are in will provide you with a little cover while you fight the nearest guard.
Use this port-a-potty to sneak into the IO bunker.
Remember: you have to completely kill the IO Guard, so continue shooting them once you’ve taken them down. Upon the guard’s death, they will drop a keycard, so run forward and pick it up!
Remember to pick up the access card!
With this challenge completed, you will now be able to complete the next mission: placing wiretaps in different key locations.
