The guide to collecting doomsday preppers is one of the legendary missions in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
This challenge is only available during Week 4 of this season, and to unlock it you must first search for farm clues, visit Farmer Steel’s favorite spots, and place missing persons posters.
There are two locations where you can find the Doomsday Preppers Guide, but you only need to get it once. Aside from other players getting in your way, it’s a fairly easy challenge if you know exactly where to look so you can plan a quick escape.
Completing this Fortnite challenge will help you level up and unlock more Battle Stars for Season 7 Battle Pass skins.

Location of the doomsday prepper guide on Steamy Stacks
There is a set location for you to find the doomsday preppers guide in Steamy Stacks.
Below is a map with the exact location as shown in the overview:
Steamy Stacks is a big place and it may not be clear from the map alone, but don’t worry. All you have to do is enter the tower that is just before the second reactor (if you are looking at the map).
It has a different set of doors, which are orange, on both the ground and first floors. If you land from the bus at the top of the first floor, that’s fine. Simply go down using the stairs and once on the first floor, turn around to see the guide on the floor next to the stairs and some boxes.
If you end up landing closer to Slurpy Swamp or Misty Meadows, you have another chance to grab this item.

Location of the doomsday prepper guide in Hydro 16
There is a waypoint east of Slurpy Swamp called Hydro 16, which is basically some kind of abandoned factory. Here you can find another guide for doomsday preppers. So if you’re in the area, you can grab this one and complete the challenge without needing to detour to Steamy Stacks.

Looking at the in-game map, we recommend taking the northern entrance to Hydro 16. Go through the door and you will see machinery around you.
If you look to the other side inside, you will notice a light blue door with broken windows.
It is exactly next to the staircase that leads to the upper floor. Instead of going up, you’ll want to open that door and look at the ground to your left. There is the guide for the preparers of the end of the world.
