According to one of the NASA officials, the green comet was first seen in March 2022, within the orbit of Jupiter. According to scientists, the bright green comet is expected to approach Earth and be easily detected on February 2, 2023.
According to a NASA blog, comets are notoriously unpredictable. However, they can be detected if the comet’s current brightness trend continues. Interestingly, the blog also said that the comet would possibly be visible to the naked eye or simply with binoculars under a dark sky starting on January 12.
Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) is now heading towards the interior of the Solar System and becoming brighter.
