Entropic Shard locations in Destiny 2 explained
The following is a list of all Entropic Shard locations available in Destiny 2. During the first week of release, only eight of the nine were available, with a ninth released as part of the Europa Creation area opening later. for the community to complete the raid on the Deepstone Crypt.
The following list is in order: Lost Sector Entropic Shard locations, main patrol area Entropic Shard locations, and the final patrol locations of the hardest-to-reach Entropic Shards. The final Creation Entropic Shard location appears at the bottom of the list for those who have been waiting for it to appear.
As a reminder, you need the Salvation’s Grip exotic grip, available after completing a quest that can be accessed after completing the campaign, to destroy an Entropic Shard. It may take several rounds (or a well-placed charged round) to destroy a fragment.
Hidden Void Lost Sector Entropic Shard Location
This entropic fragment is located within the lost sector of the hidden void.

In the last room with the boss cache, there is a beam of light coming through the ceiling from above.
Look up to see the entropic fragment floating in the air.
Bunker E15 Lost Sector Entropic Fragment Location
This entropic fragment is located within the lost sector of Bunker E15.

Play through the Lost Sector until you reach the part where you are releasing Braytech Security Frames.
In the large room with the gunfight, cross the hallway, then look back and up the corner where you emerged. You can see the entropic fragment floating in the top corner, right in view.
Cadmus Ridge Entropic Shard Location
You’ll find it on the west side of the area, just before the entrance to the Bray Exoscience building.
Specifically, check the cliffs below and to the right (or north) of where the entrance is.
You will find it embedded in the floor, next to the wall.
Asterion Abyss Entropic Shard Location
In the middle of Asterion Abyss is a large angular topped structure.
Climb to the top of the north side (you can climb it from several directions) to find the Entropic Shard at the top.
Eventide Ruins Entropic Shard Location
In the southwest of the location, just north of where you enter from Asterion Abyss, there is a destroyed walkway.
Look under the rubble to find it.
The last three on this list are the hardest to find and require you to head to the northern end of the Patrol space; As such, it is recommended to unlock them in a single trip.
Location of the entropic fragment of the Riis-Reborn approach
Head to Riis-Reborn Approach – it’s the area north of Europe, which you can access in the building at the top of Evenride Ruins.
Follow the circular route (it should be familiar to you after completing the campaign) until you reach the room where there is an entrance to the right that you can access by breaking the seal.
Continue down this hallway and take the skylift until you reach a staircase leading up.
Staying on the ground floor, go and look behind the staircase to find the Entropic Shard hidden underneath.
Kell’s Rising Entropic Shard Location
You need to head to Kell’s Rising, an area in the far north of Europe, just beyond Riis-Reborn Approach. Specifically, follow the steps above to reach the Riis-Reborn Entropic Access Fragment, where you need to take the sealed door on the right, go up an elevator, and find a staircase.
Climb said ladder and go through the teleporter in the next room.
Go up the stairs until you reach a corridor that splits into two, left and right. The right one is sealed immediately if you haven’t unlocked it yet, and this is where we need to go to get to Kell’s Rising.
The route to start is linear. Follow it and, after a red-lit hallway, the path will open to return outside.
Here, take the right path, ignoring the room on the right and follow it until you see some blue platforms and up to the right of the building in the corner.
Climb them and, following a linear route from here, climb some more platforms on the outside of a building, until you reach a path formed by a set of bent tubes.
We’re almost there. In the opposite corner you can climb to the roof of the building, where there is a walkway above.
Below the stairs of this walkway is the Entropic Shard, hidden below.
Technocrat Iron Entropic Shard Location
You need to head to Technocrat’s Iron, an area in the far north of Europe, just beyond Riis-Reborn Approach. Specifically, follow the steps above to get to the entropic fragment of the Riis-Reborn approach.
Go up the stairs until you reach a corridor that splits into two, left and right. The one on the left leads to a corridor that leads upwards and takes us to Technocrat’s Iron.
The objective is to reach the end of the area. The route is mostly linear, but in case you get lost, some tips; On the way you will find a room lit in red with a kind of cauldron above; Make sure you head to the other end, past that, and through the door to continue.
From there, you’ll eventually reach a track that winds through an outdoor area. Go up the final platform, enter the building and you will reach a large arena.
The entropic fragment floats above and just to the right. It collides with the wall behind it, so you may have to adjust your position to see it float away clearly.
Creation Entropic Shard Location
This ninth and final Shard was released as part of the opening of the Europa Creation area, after the community completed the Deep Stone Crypt raid.
To reach Creation, head to Bray Exoscience, the location on the west side of Cadmus Ridge, and enter the room on the right side.
From there, head into the next room, towards another door on the right.
Now follow the linear path through Creation until you reach a large factory-style room with ledges descending to an area below.
On the middle ledge, take out the enemies and then stand looking at the area below. Suspended in the air is the Entropic Shard.
