Animal Crossing group stretching: Where to find group stretching in New Horizons

Animal Crossing’s group stretch is a long-lost feature from a previous game in the series that returns as part of the 2.0 update.

In this fitness-based activity, you and your fellow villagers get some light exercise outside the Town Hall, with an invitation for you to personally get in on the action.

Group stretching last appeared in Animal Crossing on the GameCube original, as part of a week-long event over the summer that encouraged players to make the best of early starts.

This time, motion controls via a Joy-Con and button controls are an option, and all you have to do is find your village recorder to get started.

How to do group stretches and find the plate in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

To participate in the group stretch, you must first find the recorder in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which will be located outside the front of City Hall.

The recorder will automatically appear outside Town Hall once you have downloaded the 2.0 update; No purchases or other unlocking methods required.

Interact with the recorder and your group stretching session will begin, with other villagers joining you, as well as possible cameos from non-villagers such as Isabelle and, when unlocked, Brewster.

The Animal Crossing 2.0 and Happy Home Paradise update is here! We can help you with the new additions, including where to find Brewster, Gyroids, new villagers, ordinances, new fences, storage shed, new hairstyles, Froggy Chair, group stretches, and Kapp’n boat tours. Cooking can now be unlocked, so you need to know how to make flour and sugar, as well as how to grow carrots, potatoes and tomatoes. In the meantime, if you’re new to Animal Crossing, our New Horizons tips can help you with the basics. From the beginning, there are fish and insects to catch, flowers and fruits to grow. A long-term goal is to increase your Happy Home Academy score. Finally, you need tools like the new ladder and pole to fully explore.

How do group stretches work in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

Unlike the GameCube original, where the feature last appeared in the series, group stretching is no longer a morning activity: you can do the minigame whenever you want.

Not only is group stretching “flexible” in the sense that you can use buttons or motion controls, but there are no failure points or states (if you prefer, you can simply put the controller down, although each session only takes a couple of minutes) and You can do it as many times as you want, rain or shine.

There are apparently no rewards for stretching the group beyond unlocking various Nook Mile milestones, which unlock stamps if you do at least one group stretch daily.

Enjoy your new exercise regimen!
