Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Nachoyah Shrine solution

The Nachoyah Shrine is the last shrine you visit in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the starting area, the Great Sky Island. You can only enter this shrine if you have completed Gutanbac Shrine and In-Isa Shrine first.

However, before you can visit this shrine, you must complete The Closed Door main quest and unlock Recall.

Once you have Recall, you will be able to reach the Nachoyah Shrine location where you can complete The Ability to Rewind puzzle.

While we have avoided writing about the game’s story, this guide contains minor spoilers. We have done our best to avoid story spoilers.

How to complete The Closed Door main quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

After completing the Gutanbac Shrine and the In-Isa Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to return to the Temple of Time. Once there, open the temple door, which will complete the main quest of The Locked Door and enter before touching the teardrop-shaped crystal.

After watching a short cutscene, you will be given the ability to Recover. This allows you to reverse the movement of an object, which you can stop at any time.

Next, you need to use Recall on one of the wheels at the back of the temple; reversing its rotation so that you can reach the platform above. There you will find a statue of the Goddess, but you need one more Blessing Light before you can get an upgrade.

For now, you should try to open the door behind the Goddess Statue. You will fail, but don’t worry: this door won’t stay closed for long.

Location of the Nachoyah Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To get to the Nachoyah Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must first use the map to travel back to the Hall of Awakening.

Once there, use Ascend under the platform on the left side of the room. Then use Retrieve to reserve the rotation of the wheel in front of you and hop on it. When the time is right, jump onto the next wheel, and from there, you can reach a passageway in the rock. You may need to use Recall a second time while doing this.

Follow the corridor and you will soon reach the Nachoyah Shrine. The precise coordinates of the sanctuary are (0388, -1660, 2299).

The Nachoya Sanctuary.

It is important to note that a crystal refinery is located near the shrine. This refinery can be used to produce energy wells, which will increase the capacity of your energy cell and in doing so allow you to power Zonai devices for longer periods of time. You won’t be able to use the refinery at the moment, but keep in mind its location for when you can.

Nachoyah Shrine puzzle solution

To complete the Nachoyah Shrine puzzle, you’ll need to start by using Recall on a raft to reserve its movement across a pool of water. We recommend going down the small stairs near the pool of water and jumping into the raft from there. This will not only make it easier to get to the raft, but it will also buy you more time once you’ve used Recall on it.

After this, head to the next pool of water and wait for a raft to drop from above the waterfall. The moment he does, jump onto the raft and use Retrieve to send you and the raft into the waterfall. Once there, jump onto the platform to your right.

You can then use Retrieve on the wheel to your left to reserve its rotation, allowing you to reach a chest.

There is a chest on top of this wheel.

Finally, you need to use Retrieve when the two moving dials overlap to open the door that leads to the end of the sanctuary. If you don’t wait until the dials overlap, the door won’t open.

With the shrine complete and your last Blessing Light in hand, it’s time to head back to the Temple of Time. You can use the gliders on the platform near the Nachoyah Shrine to quickly reach the temple (just be sure to dive into the nearby pond) or make your own trip back.

You can use these gliders to return to the Temple of Time.

Once you’re back at the Temple of Time, return to the Goddess Statue and exchange your Light of Blessing for a Heart Container. Now you can finally open the door behind the statue!

After watching a cutscene, head to the end of the walkway by dropping down to the broken lower sections and then using Ascend to reach the next platform. When you reach the end, another cutscene will play and a new main quest will begin: To the Kingdom of Hyrule.

Before you leave Great Sky Island, don’t forget to get the Archaic Robe.

Use Ascend to reach the end of the hall.
