The Kiuyoyou Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will make you feel hot and cold. No, actually, Sanctuary is all about using Fire and Ice to get where you need to go. Fortunately, Link doesn’t need any special clothing to survive in this Sanctuary, so don’t worry about that.
The shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom test your problem-solving skills and force you to use the many skills you acquire on your adventures. This specific Shrine depends on you having the Ultrahand skill. If you don’t have this, head to the Ukouh Shrine first and then return.
Once you have Ultrahand, we’re here to show you how to complete Kiuyoyou Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Location of Kiuyoyou Shrine in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Kiuyoyou Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is in the Great Hyrule Forest, just down the street from Juney and her horse, the character who asks you to pick up her toys. You will see it shining in the distance if you follow the main road.
The precise coordinates of the shrine are (-1106, 2086, 0104). We have also marked its location on the map below:
Solution to the Kiuyoyou Shrine puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
When you enter the first area of the Shrine, you should see some fire-breathing pipes to your right. To your left, you should see a closed door and a large ice cube under a larger pipe.
The first thing you need to do is use Ultrahand to grab the large ice cube and hold it in the tubes fire for a few seconds to make it shrink (don’t leave it in the fire for too long, it will melt). . Once it has gotten a little smaller, take it off the heat.
Turn around to face the large closed door to the left of where you found the ice cube. When you are facing the door, you should see a small pressure pad on the right side.
Gently place the shrunken cube on this pressure pad to weigh it. Once you do this, the large door will remain open.
Head to the newly revealed area. To your left, you should see a platform hidden in an opening in the wall. This platform will have a chest, but you won’t be able to access it yet. Don’t worry, we’ll get back to this.
On the right side of the room, you should notice an updraft. Use your paraglider to ride the updraft to the next area.
Up here all the action is on the left. You should see some fire tubes coming out of the wall and large ice cubes falling directly into them.
Stand in front of where the cubes fall into the fire and use Ultrahand to quickly grab one. It will shrink when you take it off the heat, but it’s totally fine.
If it melts before you grab it, don’t worry, a new one will drop out.
Then, take the small cube to the ramp made of spikes. If you are facing the area you came from previously, the spikes will be to your right. Then, gently place the small cube on the spike ramp so that it slides to the bottom area.
Now, turn around to face the fire tubes. When you’re facing the fire tubes, look to the right where the updraft hits the wall. Here you should see a large stone panel leaning against the wall.
Pick this up with Ultrahand and take it to the fire tube area. Rotate the panel until you can use it to block the flames coming from the wall.
Then, once the flames are blocked, wait for the next large ice cube to fall. If you have a small cube left in this area, the larger one may not appear. If this is the case, take the smaller cube and throw it over the edge into the chasm between the spike ramp and the updraft. When it runs out, the largest cube must be dropped.
Then, when the cube has fallen, pick it up with Ultrahand and move it to the platform you are standing on. Make sure it is out of reach of the flames, as you will then need to move the panel again with Ultrahand. Now, attach the large cube to the stone panel.
We like to live dangerously and we stick to it by blocking the flames.
Next, take the stone cube contraption and rotate it so that the cube is under the stone slab. Once the bucket is at the bottom, gently drop the contraption onto the spike slope and watch it slide toward the lowered area.
To follow it back down safely, head to the side where the updraft is located. Jump into the updraft and equip your paraglider. Let the updraft lift you up and then glide to the lower area where your gadget and a smaller ice cube await.
Now that you’re here, remove the large ice cube from the panel for a moment. Don’t throw away the panel, you’ll need it in a moment!
Remember the area of the wall that has the chest? We said we’d get back to it! Once the cube is separated from the panel, place it on the ground against this area.
Next, take the smaller ice cube from earlier and place it on the slightly raised platform under the chest.
Climb up the first cube and then the second to reach the chest. This chest contains a Zonaite Spear.
When you’re done here, return to your large ice cube and stone panel. Put them both back together. Ideally, place the stone panel on the ground and place the large ice cube on top of it.
Then, using Ultrahand, take him back to the first room. Return to the section where flames cascade from the pipes on the ceiling. Turn the stone cube contraption so that the stone panel is on top; You will use it to prevent the flames from melting your cube.
With the stone panel on top, place the contraption under the flames to press the pressure pad here. You may have missed this before because the flames are pretty good at hiding their presence.
Once this pressure pad has been charged, a smaller hatch will open to the left of the flame tubes. Head this way to grab the hard-earned Light of Blessing.
