The Warzone Intel Old Wounds missions are a set of objectives within the Battle Royale mode of Modern Warfare.
Released midway through Season 5, they allow you to find items on the map as you play by following a series of clues.
Completing each will reward you with XP, giving you a boost toward completing your Season 5 Battle Pass.

Warzone Old Wounds Intel Missions and Their Locations
The following “Old Wounds” challenges were released on August 25, 2020.
Like previous Fractured Intel locations, Hunting the Enemy, Hidden Cargo, New Perspectives, and The Lost Team, each step of Old Wounds Intel must be completed in sequence.
You can find it within the Challenges area of the Warzone menu, then tab to the end to find these objectives:
Remember that these must be done in Warzone matches. If you’re having a hard time grabbing certain items because the areas are so crowded (after all, Intel locations are the same for everyone), try landing near the location and waiting a few minutes before moving.
Alternatively, play until you enter the Gulag and use that second appearance in the match to pay a visit (assuming you win, of course).
Additionally, you can only complete one Intel per game. So continue playing, lose intentionally, or simply quit to start another match and the next objective.
Warzone Old Wounds Intel Location 1 – Find the location in the message Ghost sent you
For the first objective of Old Wounds, you are given the clue “Find the location in the message Ghost sent you” and the following image for 2500 XP:
To complete this and all the other Intel locations below, you need to go to the prison, the named location in the southeast corner of the map.
Here, head to the underground section of the structure. You can do this by crossing the bridge to the entrance and then taking one of the stairs on the side. Go through the door below and then go straight to the cell area.
On the highest level of the prison’s basement there is an office in the center.
On the desktop you will find the location of Intel.
Warzone Old Wounds Intel Location 2 – Hidden Code Found in Prison
For the next Old Wounds objective, you are given the clue “A hidden code was found in the prison…” and the following image for 5000 XP:
To complete this, return to the underground section of the prison. If you go down from the office where you found the first Intel, there are a series of cells in the outer ring.
There are several floors of these cells. You need to head to the second ring of cells from the top. From here, enter the southernmost cell and investigate the radiator to find the Intel location.
Warzone Old Wounds Intel Location 3: Follow the evidence left by ARM 3-1
For the next Old Wounds objective, you are given the clue “Follow the evidence left by ARM 3-1…” and the following image for 5000 XP:
To complete this, you must head to the prison shower area. This is underground and to the west. If you go down two levels (the same one where you found the previous Intel), then go through the doors and you’ll be on a walkway above.
Alternatively, there is an open window on the west side of the prison that you can parachute through to get here, which is much quicker, although you need to time it right.
Regardless of how you get there, you need to stay in the hallway above the shower area, there are several bathrooms dotted around the hallways. Head to the one in the northwest corner, where you’ll find Intel in the bathroom.
Warzone Old Wounds Intel Location 4: Zakhaev was using a prison office
For the next Old Wounds objective, you are given the clue “Zakhaev was using an office in the prison” and the following image for 2500 XP:
To complete this, you need to land on top of the north side of the prison, above the bridge entrance, where there is a building.
It’s easiest to land here by parachute, although you can climb the outside walkway from the center by taking the various outside stairs.

From here there is a walkway that takes you inside. Inside is a room at the front with a desk, where you will find the Intel location.
Warzone Old Wounds Intel Location 5: Moved ARM Locations 3-1
For the final objective of Old Wounds, you are given the clue “ARM Moved Locations 3-1…” and the following image for 5000 XP:
To complete this final step, return to the underground segment of the prison, to the levels with the cell rings.
Head to the upper level and look for Intel on the southernmost side of the cell.
Once this is done, the Old Wounds information is complete. There’s a final clue that hints at an additional story: “Something was hidden in the denied area…”
