The cursed statue from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, also known as the dark or demonic statue, can respect Link’s hearts and stamina as many times as you want, as long as you have enough rupees.
While you earn heart containers and stamina containers by completing Shrines and then trading your Blessings of Light into Goddess Statues, you may regret your decision later if you find a boss too difficult or don’t have enough stamina to explore or raise. . the Master Sword.
It’s a good idea to know the location of the cursed statue in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for more than just how to respawn, as you can also get some quick rupees by trading Link’s hearts or the spooky statue’s stamina.

Location of the cursed statue in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The cursed statue is located at the beginning of the Royal Hidden Passage in the Emergency Shelter at Lookout Landing (-0236, 0157, 0004).

This statue is also called the “dark” statue or the “demon” statue, as it is considered the complete opposite of the “light” Goddess statues found throughout Hyrule.
You must first get the paraglider and use the Skyview Tower at Lookout Landing, then talk to Scorpis to open the emergency shelter.

You then need to wait long enough for the red side quest icon to appear on top of Jerrin in the shelter. He talks to her and goes on ‘Who goes there?’ quest marker to find the cursed statue inside the small hole next to Jerrin and start the quest ‘A Deal with the Statue’. Make sure you have some bombs or a hammer to break the stones inside the passage.

You may be able to find the Cursed Statue before doing Jerrin’s side quest by entering the Royal Hidden Passage from the Observation Room in Hyrule Castle and then walking to the Emergency Shelter entrance. It doesn’t take long for Jerrin to initiate the question “Who goes there?” However, we recommend waiting for it to appear, unless you want to go find some diamonds.
How to respect the cursed statue in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Once you find the cursed statue, you will now be able to respect Tears of the Kingdom by exchanging Link’s hearts for stamina, or vice versa.
To start the respect process, talk to the cursed statue and sell the upgrade you no longer want. You will get 100 rupees for each heart container or stamina container you sell to the statue.
You can now speak to the cursed statue again and ask it to return that essence to you, but you can choose a different upgrade. It costs 120 rupees to do this, so in reality the price of each exchange of hearts and stamina is only 20 rupees.
For example, if you want more stamina, you must first trade a heart container at the cursed statue to get 100 rupees. You can then talk to the statue again and spend 120 Rupees to convert the Heart Essence into a Stamina Vessel. There is no limit to the number of times you can do this, as long as you have enough rupees, hearts, and stamina to do it.
There’s also nothing stopping you from simply exchanging your hearts or stamina and pocketing the 100 rupees if you wish. It’s a good way to get money quickly in TOTK if you need to buy something for a mission or exploration. You can then come back later when you have more rupees to recover your heart or stamina.
If you want a free way to get more hearts or stamina, check out the shrine locations page.
