How to use Moogle medals in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Moogle Medals are used at Moogle Emporiums found in Mogstools to purchase special items such as folios and accessories. The first Mogstool you’ll find is in the Grasslands area at the beginning of the game, just east of Bill’s Chocobo Ranch and west of Remnawave Tower on the east coast. Look for the little Moogle symbol on your map to indicate where a Mogstool is.

All you have to do is enter this Mogstool and talk to the Moogle merchant to start the Moogle Mischief minigame and take the five mischievous Mooglets to the middle pen. Once you do this, you will be able to talk to the merchant again to finally start spending your Moogle Medals at the Emporium.

Each open area has at least one Mogstool with a Moogle Mischief challenge that you must complete to increase your Moogle Trader Rank and unlock new items available to purchase with your Moogle Medals at the Emporium. In total, there are seven Mogstools to find in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. If you don’t see a Moogle symbol on your map when you enter a new area, be sure to activate your Remnawave Towers, as this adds new World Intel locations to the map.

How to get Moogle medals in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Here’s how to get Moogle Medals in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth:

  • Break random Shinra boxes.
  • Break the Shinra Crates at the top of Remnawave Towers.
  • Break Shinra boxes in the caches.
  • Use your Chocobo to sniff out digging sites.
  • Complete the Moogle Mischief challenges.
  • Open chests.

The best and most consistent way to get Moogle Medals is to break the Shinra Boxes on top of Remnawave Towers, as they always contain at least two Moogle Medals per tower. Breaking Shinra Crates at cache locations is also a brilliant way to obtain Moggle Medals, but the caches are not marked on your map like Remnawave Towers, making them more difficult to directly access and acquire Moogle Medals. However, our Grasslands and Junon Cache locations can help.

Breaking any random Shinra Boxes you see, using your Chocobo to sniff out dig spots when the blue symbol appears above them, and opening chests like the one in the rafters of Bill’s Chocobo Ranch barn can also reward Moogle Medals. However, these methods do not guarantee medals and are only a reward that you can obtain by doing these activities. Still, they’re nice, passive ways to potentially find Moogle medals as you explore each region.

How to Farm Moogle Medals in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The best way to get Moogle Medals is to repeat the Moogle Mischief challenges. You can repeat the Moogle Mischief challenges by talking to the Mooglet next to the merchant at any Mogstool. These repeated mini-games reward a Moogle Medal for completion, no matter which level you complete.

So if you really want something special in Moogle Emporium right away, you can repeat Moogle Mischief in Mogstools as much as you want to actively farm Moogle Medals.
