Genshin Impact Fabulous Fungus Frenzy event dates and requirements

To participate in the Fabulous Fungus Frenzy event, you must be at least Adventure Rank 30 and have completed Chapter 1, Act 3 Archon Quest ‘A New Star Is Coming’. If you meet these requirements, you can start the event any time after Thursday, November 10 until it ends on Monday, November 28.

Completing Chapter 3, Act 5 Archon Quest ‘Akasha Pulses, The Kalpa Flame Rises’ and Yae Miko’s story quest is also recommended to fully appreciate the event’s narrative, but is not necessary if entered through the ‘Quick’. Start’.

Genshin Impact Fabulous Fungus Frenzy event explained

There are four types of challenges that you must complete to earn all the rewards during Fabulous Fungus Frenzy:

• Mushroom Capture
• Couruscating Potential
• Special training
• Championship progress

Fungus Capture takes you to different areas to catch mushrooms with the event-exclusive Wisdom Orb, while Coruscating Potential lets you solve jelly puzzles to unlock more abilities for your mushrooms.

Special Training involves going to a special room to complete two types of challenges: Coordinated Assaults and Zone Defense. During these combat challenges, you can control your mushrooms to attack or defend the objective.

Championship progress is unlocked after completing the “Prepare for Tournament” subquest, allowing you to enter the Nilotpala Cup Beast Tamers tournament to use your mushroom and compete for the championship.

You’ll earn two types of event-exclusive currency for completing Fabulous Funus Frenzy challenges: Mushroom Coin and Mushroom Medals. These can be redeemed in the event store for various rewards, including a free Dori character!

To start Fabulous Fungus Frenzy, follow the golden marker from the event quest ‘The Greatest Tournament You’ve Never Heard Of?’, which takes you to Sumeru City.

The rest of this mission introduces you to the mechanics of how the four types of challenges work in Fabulous Fungus Frenzy, so follow the leaderboards to catch up.

You’ll also meet new character Layla during this event, who will be available to wish during the next Banner.
