Diablo 4 Season 1 and Battle Pass Release Date
We don’t have a solid date and time yet, but we do know from an official blog post that Diablo 4 Season 1 and its Battle Pass will launch sometime in mid to late July.
Please note that in order to participate in the new content added in the first Season Update, you must finish the campaign. It’s unclear at this time if this includes access to the Season 1 Battle Pass, so it’s best to complete the campaign before mid-July if you want to ensure you’re ready for the full update.
We will update this page with a more accurate season 1 release date and time when it is officially announced.

Diablo 4 Battle Pass and Season Rewards Explained
A new Diablo 4 Battle Pass will be available during each new season, and there is currently a new season scheduled to release “on a quarterly” basis, so we’ll be getting a new battle pass and season roughly every three months.

Seasons contain their own objectives and rewards (such as crafting materials and legendary skins for the Codex of Power), and you can earn additional rewards with the Battle Pass.
It is important to note that the Premium Battle Pass does not contain any in-game energy resources and instead unlocks tiers that contain cosmetics exclusive to a season or the Premium Shop.
The free battle pass rewards that we know of so far are:
- Cosmetic products
- emblems
- Emoticons
- smoldering ashes
- Titles
Previous battle pass promo images featured mounts and multiple armor sets for different classes, but they were released while Diablo 4 was still in development, so plans might have changed.
So how do you unlock these free and premium battle pass rewards? You have to earn Favor, which you can quickly do by completing the Season Trip objectives.
All the ways we know of so far to earn battle pass favor in Diablo 4 are:
- Complete Season Journey Objectives
- completing missions
- killing monsters
- Participating in events
