Unlike previous seasons of Apex Legends, there is no new Legend you can grab in Revelry. However, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to be excited about. In fact, being Apex’s fourth anniversary, Revelry is going to be a wild ride.

Here’s the Apex Legends Season 16 release date and time, as well as everything else happening during Revelry.

Apex Legends Season 16 Release Date and Time

Apex Legends Season 16 will launch on Tuesday, February 14.

Respawn hasn’t officially confirmed what time the new season will arrive, but based on previous season release patterns, we’re pretty sure they’ll follow the same schedules again.

We expect Apex Legends Season 16 to launch right now:

  • United Kingdom: 18:00 hours (GMT)
  • Europe: 7:00 p.m. (CEST)
  • US East Coast: 1:00 p.m. EDT
  • US West Coast: 10 am (PDT)

Note: The times above are simply predictions based on previous releases, so we cannot guarantee that the new season will arrive at that time.

What to expect from Apex Legends Revelry

First things first, as we mentioned above, there is no new Legend for this season. However, there is a good reason for this and that is that the class system has undergone a major overhaul.

Instead of the ones they have now, starting February 14, all Legends will be classified into one of five new classes. Here we break down a little why a Legend would be included in the different classes:

  • Assault: These are Legends who use their abilities to force their opponents into making mistakes or sudden combat decisions.
  • Skimisher: A Skimisher is a legend who has great combat mobility and escape abilities that can be used to keep them safe or tactically to get the optimal position in a fight.
  • Recon: Recon Legends are those who can obtain information about their opponents and track them.
  • Controller – These are legends who can use their abilities to control positions and control their enemies to fight on their terms.
  • Support: These Legends, as expected, serve to support the team, but now also include defensive Legends.

Goodbye Arenas, hello Mixtape

Once Revelry arrives, the 3v3 Arenas mode will leave Apex for the foreseeable future. It is being replaced by Team Deathmatch, which is a limited time mode, before entering the new Mixtape mode.

Mixtape will have three community favorite modes in rotation, as well as TDM, you can expect Gun Run and Control to be a part of this. You’ll have to wait three weeks after the initial season begins to see Mixtape in action.

Legend changes

Not only is the existing roster of Legends receiving the revamped class system, some of them are receiving nerfs and buffs to modify their overall performance. Seer’s heartbeat sensor will now be audible to any nearby enemies.

Bloodhound is getting a new passive! There are white crows scattered across the maps and Bloodhound will be able to spot them in an area where enemies lurk. If they choose to scan the Crows, they can lead you on the trail of an enemy squad. Plus, combine White Raven with Bloodhound’s ultimate and you’ll be taken right into an unsuspecting squad.

Horizon’s accuracy during gravity ascent is reduced, but to compensate, the lift speed has been slightly increased. Additionally, the Lifeline Care Package drop speed has been greatly increased, meaning you’ll have less time to wait before you can get high-level loot.

Mirage is another legend that has received a significant change and this one will be welcome for many of you playing as the holographic trickster. After reviving an ally as Mirage, you and your ally will remain hidden for three seconds, but you will be unarmed. If you take out your weapon, the camouflage will break.

Additionally, when a Mirage clone is shot, you will be able to track the tricked enemy for a short period of time.

Even more new content and updates

In addition to a new battle pass with tons of new content to collect, including a legendary skin for Valkyrie called ‘Heartbeat Harmonizer,’ there’s plenty of new content to look forward to. At a glance, here are some of the other exciting new features coming during launch:

  • The Party Boat returns to all Battle Royale maps! As? We don’t really know either, but she’s back!
  • A new energy assault rifle, the Nemesis Burst AR.
  • Anniversary collection event.
  • Added golden shotgun bolts.
  • Hemlok Burst AR is now in the box.
  • Volt SMG and Longbow DMR are both on the crafter.
  • Shotguns are being polished.
  • Assault rifle hip fire is being nerfed.
  • R-301 Carbine damage reduced from 14 to 13.
  • Ranked map rotation is every 24 hours.
