All Destiny 2 Security Drone locations

Security drones in Destiny 2 are special targets that you must hunt down to complete the Good Boy Protocol mission.

These floating yellow orbs debuted in Season of the Seraphim and act as the lock that keeps a special door closed in the mission Operation: Seraphim’s Shield. They can only be destroyed using the Revision Zero Exotic Pulse Rifle, which is awarded the first time you complete that mission.

Destination 2 Security Drone Locations in Europe

Europa is one of Jupiter’s moons and serves as the icy home for 10 of the security drones:

  • Hop on over to Europe at the Beyond fast travel point. Turn around and look towards the top of the Ziggurat for the first Drone.
  • Travel to Asterion’s Abyss. Look at the massive ice wall to the west and follow it until you come across some Vex structure. The Drone is in the upper left where they are located.
  • Continue north, facing a distant (but unreachable) city. Past a large cubic structure buried in the ice, and next to a rock, is a large crack in the ground. The Drone is inside.
  • Enter the Hidden Void Lost Sector of Asterion Abyss. Fight past the first sealed door into a large room over a puddle of Vex milk. Stay left and look towards an opening in a wall on the platform. The Drone is in this space.
  • Look north of the Eventide Ruins fast travel point to see the red glow of a bombed building. Go straight in and find the hatch that opens during the Deep Stone Crypt raid. The Drone is just to the left.
  • Head to the building that houses the entrance to the lost sector of Bunker E14. Jump to the top inside the building and look towards the southeast corner.
  • Enter Bunker E15 and make your way to the large central room just before the boss fight. Enter the covered area northeast of this space and follow the hallway to a small room. The Drone will be sitting right inside.
  • Travel to Cadmius Ridge from the Charon’s Crossing fast travel point. When you arrive, a large Vex structure will rise above the ice ridges. Follow the outline of the structure to the right and the drone will be visible located within the ice formation directly in front.
  • On the western edge of Cadmius Ridge is the entrance to Bray Exoscience. Look to the left of the door, in the hollow space.
  • Enter the Perdition Lost sector and fight your way to the boss. Once the enemies have been eliminated, the Drone will be near the Lost Sector chest.

Destiny 2 Heist Battleground: Security Drone Locations in Europe

There are six security drones that can only be accessed while doing Heist Battleground: Europe:

Destiny 2 Lunar Security Drone Locations

The 10 security drones on the Moon can be accessed through the overworld or in select lost sectors:

  • Travel to Archer’s Line and immediately jump onto the large track leading to the area’s main structure. This Drone is facing you, where the track meets the building.
  • Enter the K-1 Logistics Lost Sector and make your way to the open space that serves as the boss arena. Upon entering this area, look to the right corner to fight the Drone.
  • In the northwest corner of Anchor of Light is a tall radio tower-like structure. You’ll see our target near the top, at the bottom of the armor spire.
  • The southeastern part of Anchor of Light is home to a massive fallen ship. The next Drone is right at the base of this ship, near some blue lights.
  • Travel from Anchor of Light to Hellmouth. As soon as you reach the end of the narrow passages and the area opens up, look to the right, directly against the hive structure to find the Drone.
  • At the west end of Hellmouth are a series of structures that resemble a small town. Near the center is a small armor tower. The Drone is sitting right above him.
  • Enter the lost sector of K1 Crew Quarters. The Drone is about halfway through the Lost Sector, on the right side of the chasm near a building.
  • Fast travel to Sorrow’s Harbor and head to the eastern edge of the area to the right of Scarlet Keep. The security drone is in sight, near a hive totem.
  • The next drone is inside Scarlet Keep. Go up the long entrance and keep pointing forward. The Drone is located at the back of this first area, slightly elevated.
  • Enter the Lost Sector of K1 Revelations and advance to one of the first sections where you will need to cross a chasm. Don’t cross right away, instead look for a hanging net, with the Drone barely hidden just behind it.

Destiny 2 Heist Battleground: Lunar Security Drone Locations

There are six security drones that require participation in Heist Battleground: Moon:

Destiny 2 Heist Battleground: Mars Security Drone Locations

The only six security drones on Mars will be located in Heist Battleground: Mars:

  • As soon as you go up, head to the far left section, where a path leads away from this part of Mars. Go back towards the center of the area and the Drone will be right at the end of a walkway.
  • Now, head to the easternmost section of the map. The Drone is right on the edge, behind some crates and near a Hive totem.
  • Once you complete the three initial objectives, you will be able to enter the main building. As soon as you do, look up to find the Drone near the ceiling.
  • Continue through the battlefield until you reach an outside section with some jumps and climbs. Follow the path until you reach a large platform covered in enemies. At the end of the platform there is a small staircase. The Drone is at the bottom of the stairs.
  • Continue to the back half of the platform, near the winding path that leads to the top. There will be a Drone on the roof, near some pipes.
  • Continue climbing the structure until you reach the top. Approach the large door, but do not enter. Instead, turn around and look at the top of the building to your left. The Drone will be semi-visible near a small balcony.

Destiny 2 Operations: Seraph’s Shield Security Drone Locations

There are a total of 12 security drones within the Operation Seraphim Shield mission. You will need to complete this mission at least three times. First, get the Zero Revision pulse rifle. Then again to eliminate all the Drones and one last time to finish Good Boy Protocol.

Before attempting to hunt down these Security Drones, make sure you have the Security Clearance Infiltrator and the Exo Frame Tactical Armor upgrades on the HELM. This allows you to interact with special terminals that block access to Drones and survive contact with the numerous laser traps scattered around. around.

Many of the Drones are hidden behind special terminals. When you interact with one of these terminals you will be shown a symbol. That exact symbol will be displayed somewhere in that room. Shoot it and another symbol will appear. Shoot all three to unlock the Drone. There is a time limit that will reset the puzzle if it runs out.

  • Once the mission begins, you will have to advance past some security towers. Finally you will reach a platform guarded by an ogre. The first Drone is in a room below the platform, which can be accessed from a small door in the middle of the right side. Use the terminal, find the symbols and shoot the Drone.
  • At the beginning of the mission, you’ll enter a room with an augmented scanner (the second time you see one), with a hidden vent on one side of the room. Travel through these vents until you reach a small room with a door protected by laser traps. The Drone is directly above this door once you go through it.
  • The third Drone is in the next section of the scanner. As soon as you enter the room, there will be a door on the right with another terminal puzzle. Complete it to open the door and reach the Drone.
  • The next Drone is in another room with a scanner augmentation, just before the room with the trapped floors. The Drone is inside one of the upper hallways on the perimeter of this upper room. You will have to jump and enter through a small opening to be able to shoot the Drone.
  • You will find your first Operator boost in a small room. However, don’t move beyond the room right away. One of the walls has a scannable terminal. Shoot the symbols in order as before to reach the Drone behind the door.
  • The next Drone is behind a nearby room with a pair of Shriekers. Once you’ve taken out the enemies, head to an opening at the back of the room and go through some laser traps. Go to the back of this space to find the Drone on the right side.
  • You will then come to a room with some enemies and a machine where you will deposit your Operator boost. Before continuing with the boss fight in the next room, locate a terminal door on one of the walls. Complete the puzzle, shoot the Drone and move on.
  • You will now enter the boss fight room, but don’t start the fight right away. Head directly left as you enter to activate another terminal. Shoot the symbols and blow up the Drone before starting the fight.
  • After the boss encounter, you’ll have a good old-fashioned escape. Once you reach the outside of the station, you will be exposed to an open space. Continue through all the platforming puzzles until you reach the large interior section filled with Hive. The first door on the left in this area will be guarded by lasers. Walk until you find the Drone on the left side.
  • After the section with the Suppressor boost, you’ll reach the room directly before the boss (note the rally flag later). There is a door with a terminal in this room. Shoot the symbols to access the Drone.
  • The next Drone is found after defeating the final boss. You’ll be prompted to access a computer to finish the mission, but don’t do it yet. In the same room, on the right, there is another terminal door. You already know what to do.
  • Adjacent to that door, on the opposite side of the room, is an opening guarded by a laser. Walk around and find the last Drone at the end of a hallway on the right.

Congratulations! You have found all the security drones. The next thing you need to do is restart Operation: Seraphs Shield and have a chance to activate the Good Boy Protocol.
